In my work as a lecturer in music theory at the Malmö Academy of Music, I have written academic essays, articles and teaching materials for many years. However, a dream of writing fiction has long lain dormant in me, without being able to be realized, until now.
The serious illness that forced two surgeries in 2015 also led to an intensified interest in spirituality in general and questions about life between lives and reincarnation in particular. Many people are those who, in periods of difficulty and adversity, turn their gaze upwards or inwards and seek answers to the big questions. During my convalescence, I read books about past lives and the spirit world as well as short stories by classic masters, and felt that I took several important steps in my personal development. Material began to gather and form into stories. Nineteen of these are represented in “The Pink Stone.”
Just as in my musical composition, for example my own piano pieces, in my literary writing I like to work with the smaller format. The concise short story, the concentrated story is an exciting form of expression for my content. It is a stimulating challenge for me as a writer, and hopefully also for the reader.
