Johanna Wallin's passion is to contribute to healthier workplaces where we together create a more humane and sustainable future. She is an artist, author, mentor, coach, meeting leader and lecturer in business and leadership. These different ways of working with change and development give her a unique combination of wild creativity, brave innovation and grounded perseverance to share.
In her debut, the handbook Color Your Work Life – Inside Out, Johanna provides simple tools to help you use emotions as a guide and bring out more creativity in your everyday life. The model and tools in the book can be used in all areas of life, but Johanna chooses to focus on working life because it is about creating the conditions to be able to contribute to more people. Something that, according to the definition in the book, adds a natural color of meaningfulness and community to life.
The deeper reason for Johanna's writing is her own experience of a lack of emotional tools and a lack of work context that can handle when things go wrong or crises arise. These experiences have become fuel for both the first book and the anthology Embrace Feminine Leadership . In the latter, Johanna and her mother Inger talk based on their two generations' experience of social development and relationship to feminine leadership qualities. They go from myopic to broad-minded in order to be far-sighted on the theme.
Many people know that humanity is facing major changes and that many mistakes have been made up until now on the topic of sustainability. This allows Johanna to stand firm when she talks about developing inner resources to recover and dare to try new things. She also lovingly kicks us in the butt so that we don't lie on the couch and think that someone else can do the job. Everyone is needed, your place is unique and the handbook Sätt farr på ditt werkliv helps you rephrase questions like – Shouldn't I? To – What am I longing to contribute?
If Johanna embraces her feminine leadership qualities and adds color to her work life from the inside out, what would that mean? Her goal today, this is written before the books are released, is conversations with the wise, creative and generous readers who want to contribute more of themselves to others. She looks forward to hearing stories of how the book makes a difference to the color of the readers' work lives and has created ripples in the water of new opportunities. With Johanna's ability to combine probing with ease and always having a laugh, it will certainly be a rewarding and fun conversation. She also has a penchant for collecting and playing with words that describe emotions. Maybe the two of you are standing there with equally well-used Emotion Scales (just as it was intended, cut out from the last page of Add Color to Your Work Life ) and can share how you can be more empathetic with both yourself and others today. Becoming more aware of what you think and feel is a lifelong exploration.
