KATHLEEN HENRIKSSON Graphic designer I started my own business in 2010, Kathleen Graphic Design, but have been in the industry since 1988, when I began my graphic career at GulaSidorna. After GulaSidorna/Telia/Eniro, I have worked for a number of different companies in their marketing departments or InHouse agencies. Over the years, I have taken lots of courses in graphic programs and am currently training to become a Motion Designer where I work in After Effects to make the world a little more mobile digitally. Today I help companies add color and shape to their printed materials and digital documents. This can be anything from helping new companies with logos, graphic profiles, business cards, posts on SoMe, etc. to designing a book, both cover and insert. This is what I have now had the pleasure of doing at Siljans Måsar and it is both fun and inspiring and I am very happy that Yvonne found me in the noise! My strength is that I have many years of experience, which means that I have encountered a lot of problems along the way that I find easier to tackle today. I am fast, meticulous and love the Swedish language! I was born/raised/live in Malmö with my partner Harald. He and I bought a holiday home in Södra Björstorp, Brösarp, the northern gateway to Österlen as they call it, six years ago. So you can find me there about six months a year and it's absolutely WONDERFUL! |

Monica LindrothDesigner, illustrator, proofreader and publishing assistant My name is Monica Lindroth and I am an artist and illustrator and have, among other things, illustrated multi-year calendars and gift books for Pedagogförlaget, illustrated the children's book Särskilda Selma for Ekström & Garay and painted portraits of two county governors. I am also a trained drama teacher, actor and have studied the Swedish language. Now I have had the great joy of designing book covers and inserts for the books of Förlagshuset Siljans Måsar, proofreading scripts and working as a publishing assistant. Monica Lindroth |

CECILIA PETTERSON Graphic designer and creative communicator My creative journey began in Amsterdam, where I moved after graduating in Industrial Design at LTH. I had followed my love for the Dutch capital and worked here as a graphic designer and AD in the advertising industry. It took almost eight years before I moved back to Sweden and started my own design studio, Pica Pica design. Fast forward eleven years of educational challenges and colorful successes - and here I am with the best job in the world, in my own studio. In the studio I create creative material for companies; graphic profiles, templates and layouts, logos and illustrations for both print and digital and social media. But what is closest to my heart are my book covers. I love creating book covers that stand out in the noise and that capture the reader's attention. The cover is not a table of contents, it's an appetizer. It's the intro to a song, but not the whole piece. It's the face of a story, but not the whole story. My mission is to attract the reader's interest and engagement, arouse emotions and ask questions. Because a question wants an answer. I am incredibly grateful for the great collaboration with Yvonne at Förlagshuset Siljans Måsar. From idea and process to brilliant results. I work hard to visually enhance other people's texts and stories, and I look forward to working with yours. |

VENDELA BRÄNNBORNLecturer For several years I studied at Linnaeus University, which resulted in a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing. After working as a substitute teacher for a period, I became interested in pedagogy and therefore trained for a year at Skurup Folk High School to become a writing teacher. As a writing teacher, I work to see the nuances and uniqueness of the particular text I am working on at the moment. I really appreciate being able to help and encourage the author to find their own personal voice in their writing and be part of the journey from script to finished book. Frida ErikssonLecturer After several years at writing school, I decided to not only work on my own dreams of becoming a writer, but also help others refine their texts and pursue their dreams. I trained as a publishing editor, started an online bookstore, and then began freelancing as a proofreader, editor, publisher, reviewer, and proofreader. I offer my services to both publishers and individuals. I love being involved in lifting a text to a new level and really appreciate the collaboration with Siljans Måsars Förlag, which always delivers texts with deeper content. MARIA VENEKE YLIKOMILecturer Maria Veneke Ylikomi has worked with texts in various ways for many years, including as a proofreader, language reviewer, editor, publisher, editor, copywriter, quiz creator and writer. She regularly writes articles for the weekly magazine Maia, which deals with people, the environment and diversity. Together with wildlife photographer Jan Fleischmann, Maria has written a book about big cats – jaguars, tigers, lions, leopards – which has been published in Swedish and English. Linnea Frank PhotographerLinnea Frank works as a photographer and photo artist and lives in Cape Town, South Africa. In addition to shooting fashion, celebrities and advertising images for large and small companies, she has taken the step forward as a designer for her own products; mobile phone cases and swimsuits with motifs from her paintings. Linnea has photographed world star Wyclef Jean, our Swedish rap king Ken Ring, had exhibitions around Stockholm, Skåne and arranged art work together with Jack Daniels. She has also created several of Förlagshuset Siljans Måsar's book covers, taken author portraits and background images for marketing. The highlights of her photography career have been several exciting assignments in Cape Town and Malawi in Africa. In the fall of 2014, she moved her career to South Africa. “ I fell in love at first sight and really feel at home there. I love the people, the nature, the city, the feeling, the light and the inspiration you get from being there, I love everything! ” |
