I live in Lund with my husband, Anders, and was born and raised in the Göingebygden area, in Glimåkra. My mother had a sawmill and I grew up there among the stacks of boards. When the children were entering their teens, we moved to Älmhult so that we could be close to our jobs. This meant that we had a large IKEA family and several new friends. My working life has involved various jobs such as: nurse at a hospital, undertaker, manager of the clothing store Kattsjön Collection and 26 years under the IKEA umbrella.
When I was diagnosed with cancer in the middle of my training as a MediYoga instructor, the opportunity opened up to test all the “tools” that we use in MediYoga through the tough path. There I realized how fantastic this form of yoga is. During my cancer illness, I wrote down a lot of my thoughts as my own therapy, and afterwards I felt that I wanted to share my way of dealing with the situation I found myself in. Being able to help others with my experiences is one of the meanings for me in this life. I think that all the negativity that is created around the word cancer needs to be dispelled and I want my book to help spread hope and provide comfort.
My company name, Vive Vale, means: Live and Feel Well, and it is my desire to be able to inspire this no matter what the situation is around.
