My name is Marielle Yrjas and I grew up in the middle part of Sweden. I live with my husband of 18 years and our two wonderful children, who brighten my everyday life. I have been driven by a constant hunt in life and it has been an eternal hunt for knowledge. I have therefore studied for many years at university and in skills-enhancing courses. I came to a point in life where I realized that I was not managing my acquired knowledge in a satisfactory way. I asked myself the question, why am I running away from life without stopping? It was the beginning of the process that would change my life completely.
Through my experiences in life, I have learned to respect and forgive in order to move forward, and through my choice of profession, I can give and teach others to move forward in life. Today, I run two treatment centers with my sister and mother. The focus is on young girls who have fallen on hard times in their lives for various reasons. I feel enormous gratitude to work with vulnerable people and be able to give them hope for a better life.
