Where the pigeons sleep

Camilla Danilda

Softcover with flap, 240 pages

How are we influenced by previous generations?

After one conversation, everything changes and Sophia's world comes crashing down. Dreams, ambitions and resolutions no longer hold up in real life. As if that weren't enough, Sophia is diagnosed with an incurable illness. Unable to hold on, her husband and children drift further away from her. She is on the verge of breaking.

It doesn't end as Sophia's mother, Queen, had planned when she was about to end her lifelong dance career. Through dramatic changes, Queen is forced to face what she once ran away from. While her daughter Sophia is in a state of disintegration, Queen travels back in time to come to terms with her past.

Will Queen and Sophia be able to reconcile with their origins?

Camilla writes touching lyrics that take you behind perceptions into your sacred essence. With her lyrics, she wants to hand over a conscious responsibility to the fact that there is always a choice.

Reader reactions:

"Camilla, thank you for your book, Where the Doves Sleep. I have previously listened to Close Sister Close. The new way you write is touching. It is as if the words lift me out of my own pain and open me up to something new."

"I have read your book through and through with both tears and laughter. Despite my dyslexia, you have made me read several of your books. Thank you <3"

"Thank you for your book. Well written and despite its depth, it was still easy to read." Mia

"I usually only read during the summer holidays, but since I bought the book from you, I started during the Easter holidays. I could easily follow the story and quickly got into the book. A few chapters in, I was completely hooked and my husband wondered what I was reading. We then read each other's chapters and it was so nice. We both enjoyed the book." Kia and Anders
