After Ragnarok

Rebecca Vik

Cardboard, 252 pages with illustrations

First Ragnarok then the light

When the horrors of the final battle are over and the alarm has died down, a new, verdant earth rises from the ashes. Song and poetry that had been dormant in nature resurface, and the gods can begin to interact with humans.

Freya and Heimdall gladly appeared to Rebecka, Odin once. She longed, searched and seven years later she found. Odin challenged, confused, came close and a bit of her own hell, her personal Ragnarök, was unleashed. Did he push her development to get his message across?

Rebecka Vik is a sejdare – exploring nature, expanding consciousness and interacting with subtle life. She shares the knowledge she gains as a writer and teacher, and helps others to sejdare. She has university studies in biology and geosciences, as well as artistic work.

Votes about the book:

"After Ragnarök is the most beautiful book I've ever seen."

"The language is wonderful, it's a joy to read. It flows and is musical. It makes you feel good. The insight into Rebecka's fears gives you your own feelings – and then you can gain knowledge. It's important that the book gets out there, it provides knowledge that leads to your own actions."

"It is an incredibly strong, moving and captivating book. I was very moved both by the stories and by your lovely language."

"A beautiful tale but also frightening. That you see, hear and can ask the gods for answers to your questions while I tumble around in great uncertainty. I understand with my heart what you are telling me but my mind is in great wonder about how you can describe it so painfully beautifully. When I read the first three parts I live with you and understand your expression of the world of gods but I also have a wonder. Where did these diary entries go? But "then you finally rolled up your sleeves and got to work". The last part is a revelation for me. Now my mind can grasp and understand the contexts that for me can be a gateway to the time we are all about to move into. I feel great joy in your work."

"After Ragnarök is my evening reading and I enjoy it. I appreciate this time, and have missed it in previous books, that you clearly and simply describe how you change worlds. I, and I assume everyone else too, want to make the journey myself."

"I read the book in one go. I got angry at Odin. If you're a god, you have to toughen up. It was good that you reacted the way you did. It's so exciting to follow your development. But I'm still mad at Odin."

"A dizzying and captivating book. It gives me so many new perspectives on life. A flowing flow, I couldn't stop reading. A heartfelt thank you, Rebecka, for your courage, your burning determination, strength and unconditional love. Thank you for everything it has cost you to convey the voice of the Gods to us. Thank you for letting the light of the North shine."
