How do you run projects?
Or from Kass to Klass
Helena Ölmefur
Softcover with flap, 400 pages with color images
About female project leadership!
“How do you actually run projects?”
The question was thrown out by a steering group chairman in one of the projects. I was completely stumped. How do I do it if it's a gas pipeline project between three countries with seven companies in the steering group? Or. A project that's about a new way to travel through Stockholm? Like the City Line. The answer was an autobiographical contemporary story with real examples as a common thread.
That became my view of practiced project management. That which is based on human intelligence. Where L as in leadership plays a role. That which can take you from KASS to KLASS.
My dream with the book is to convey images and provide new perspectives, which can create movement in your thoughts. They can, for example, make you imagine yourself in the role of project manager. Where you are in the middle of the project. My dream is that you find your answer to the question I was given.
A book about. How projects are run with a smile. Because that's what my simple answer looks like. I run projects. I do it. With a smile.
How do YOU do it?

Reader reactions:
"A different humorous and personal book, which can feel like two. Where part 1 gives practical and valuable tips in direct proximity to projects that Helena has been involved in. Yes, and part 2 gives a private and close relationship with Helena. The self-analyzing project manager. A different book also in terms of language. From the normality of a project to Helena's more thoughtful writing style. A different book about projects. Which ends happily with a formula!" Johan von Schantz, Steering Group Chairman of the City Rail Project at SL.
"A thought-provoking book. A book that provokes thought. How does an engineer work as a project manager? Not a textbook, but a book that will help you gain insight. What if..." Ulf Bengtsson. Former Chairman of the Swedish Association of Civil Engineers/Swedish Engineers.
