How are you really doing, my friend?
This book wants to restore faith in your inherent and healing power, which is always present, but perhaps not active enough. The power is sometimes called "old knowledge"; it can be knowledge that is innate and sometimes it follows common sense - but not always! Most often it depends on what is considered sensible at the moment. Science has long tried to instill in us that if things cannot be proven, they do not exist or work.
"When Life Burns" tells the story of how a person became completely healthy in a much shorter time than it took to become seriously ill. If you are the one who is tired, sick, sad or hurt, it is of course also you who must become energetic, healthy, cheerful and happy. Start by thinking the thought. Think it now! The book is intended to be used as a toolbox, full of tools for your continued work.
Imagine or see in your mind's eye a large yellow lemon on a cutting board. Imagine cutting the nice lemon in two, so that the lemon juice comes out. Take one half in your fist and bend your head back, while squeezing the juice straight into your mouth. How does it taste? What happens? Does saliva flow? Congratulations! You have just at this moment changed one of your body's functions with pure thought power, in just eleven seconds. Do you realize the effects of how you view life and your reality? Could your tired, sick and sad state be partly or even completely a consequence of how you have unconsciously programmed your body for the last five or ten years - or perhaps even the last half of your precious life?

"There is always water for every fire in life!"
Votes about the book:
"When Life Burns by Ulric Jansson: I have just read a brand new and rich book that grabbed me in several different ways. "I never had time to notice the wings" - a line early in the book that piqued my curiosity, and it was also beautifully and poetically written. The book is a wonderful mix of short stories, research on health, funny calculations and much more. And it moves and touches everyone with its message and humor. The book made me think many times and when I finally put it down I was filled with thoughts and insights. To flesh out these thoughts and insights or perhaps to find even more angles and perspectives, I will reread the book. It will be a real pleasure!"

"It's a very special book that I think many people can gain strength from because there are so many people who can identify with it, when it comes to physical and mental health and everything that we surround ourselves with - which actually disrupts health.
I hope this book reaches many people!"

My friend Ulric Jansson has written this book and here you really get into the thoughts, feelings and musings of a man who oscillates between adult and child life... Lots of laughs. I really recommend it.

Currently reading a very wonderful and wise book. The book is written from a deep undercurrent of wisdom. In a strangely quiet, but "mischievous" way of sharing these fantastic experiences. Unpretentious, down to earth, the author lets the light shine through every line of text, every stanza! Short summary, Faith in your inherent and healing power. Read it! It will make you think again! Book title: When life burns, by Ulric Jansson.

Excerpt from the book:
To you!
How are you really doing, my friend?
Is life burning you out or are you about to burn yourself out? Maybe you belong to the group of highly sensitive people?
This book is for you who are tired. It is not for the doctors, not for the insurance company or the public health institute. It is just a matter between you and me. I am interested in us feeling good and this is precisely the main purpose of the book. You can see the book as a source of inspiration for getting in a good mood and as a mental toolbox.
My goal with this book is to restore faith in our inherent healing power, which is always present but perhaps not active enough. It is sometimes called "ancient knowledge".
Some of these truths could have been told by my old grandmother in Norrland, where I grew up and still live; in fact, she did too, and that brings us to the story of Uncle Micka who could stop blood, which is now considered pure nonsense and hocus pocus.
As a child I knew that the world was amazing and that wonders and miracles happen every now and then. As I got older, that feeling was almost lost and I became ill.
Blowing your finger when you've hurt yourself usually makes you feel better. It's considered by many to be childish behavior and according to many pundits it doesn't work at all. But now it's known for sure that it works, which is described as the "Gate Theory".
I have studied the subject from most perspectives, including the academic world's perspective, as I have a phil. kand. in rehabilitation and disability science. My studies have also included medicine, neuropsychology, as well as creativity and problem solving, etc. As a former truck driver and traffic instructor, I find it difficult to reconcile myself with the academic world's way of belittling everything that is worth highlighting.
What doctors contemptuously call the placebo effect and describe as something that is weakly human and only complicates their research, I see on the contrary as one of the ultimate proofs that we have an inherent healing power, regardless of whether we are given effective medicines or sugar pills. There is of course more positive evidence, which I will describe in the book.
What separates a survivor from others is the imagination to be able to imagine things and events. The same applies to WHEN you will get well, not IF you will get well. Becoming friends with this book can help you become friends with illness and pain. Shifting the problem by being whiny and stubborn obviously does not work.
I see my role in life as the connecting link between different "worlds" and ways of thinking, which seem to be opposites to each other; for example, different religions that conflict with each other, evolution versus the biblical creation story, medical science versus natural medicine and new scientific findings compared to old truths. A concept that has become increasingly common now that I have completed this book is "Highly sensitive person". Some of you readers will surely recognize yourself in that particular group.
This book was largely written around the year 2000, after a very eventful, tragic and miraculous period in my life. Now it, along with its message, is in your hands.
